The Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) of PA help area businesses market their products and services to local, state and federal governments anywhere in the US or abroad. Thirteen PTACs in Pennsylvania provide assistance to companies located in their specificly designated geographic regions.

Congress created the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) to help businesses seeking to compete successfully in federal, state and local government contracting. The programs are funded through Cooperative Agreements between Depratment of Defense, Defense Logistrics Agency (DLA) and state/local entities.
The Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC) is a professional organization which supports the 93 DLA-funded Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) located throughout the United States. APTAC supports the PTACs by providing them important information, professional networking, comprehensive training opportunities and a voice in national government contracting assistance and policy arenas.
